Everything you need to know about our manual CAD conversion service. Can’t find your answer? Get in touch.
About Our Service
No. Every drawing we convert is manually re-drafted from scratch by a trained CAD engineer. We use no auto-trace software, no raster-to-vector tools, and no AI conversion pipelines.
Because we re-draft every drawing manually, the output is as accurate as the original allows. We convert to-scale or per your specified dimensions, quality-checked in-process and again before delivery.
We handle all major disciplines — Architectural, Civil & Structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, HVAC, P&ID, Shipbuilding, and Fabrication. Our engineers understand the drawing standards of each field.
Yes. We work with originals in less-than-ideal condition regularly. We do the best the source material allows and flag anything that requires a decision on your part.
Files & Formats
We accept virtually any format — PDF, scanned images (JPG, TIFF), paper drawings, blueprints, diazo prints, microfilm, vellum, and tracing paper. If it has lines on it, we can work with it.
We deliver in DWG and DXF format — compatible with AutoCAD, BricsCAD, ZWCAD, DraftSight, and any CAD software that reads DWG/DXF. Specific version on request.
Email files directly to sales@cadconversion.org, or share a Dropbox / Google Drive link for large files. Include your layer requirements, preferred scale, and desired turnaround.
Yes. Provide your layer naming conventions, linetypes, lineweights, colours, and custom block libraries when you send your drawings and we apply them throughout.
Pricing & Turnaround
Every job is custom-quoted based on your specific drawings — size, density, complexity, and volume all affect the price. Indicative rates are on our pricing page. Bulk projects get volume discounts.
Yes. Projects of 10 or more drawings receive custom bulk pricing with meaningful per-drawing discounts. Get in touch with your full project scope.
Standard turnaround is 7–10 business days. Urgent 3–5 day turnaround is available at a premium. All timelines confirmed before work begins.
No work begins until you have approved our quote. For very large projects we may discuss a deposit. Nothing is charged for the initial review or the free sample conversion.
Quality & Process
Send us any drawing and we will convert a portion at zero cost — no payment, no obligation. Evaluate our quality and accuracy before you place any order.
In-process QC during drafting — verifying scale, geometry, layer naming, and completeness as we go — and a final review of the completed file against the original before every delivery.
We handle revisions promptly at no extra cost. If something is not right, tell us and we will fix it. We have been doing this since 1995 — getting the output right is non-negotiable.
Yes. Provide your CAD standards documentation, a template DWG, or a description and we apply them. This includes layer names, lineweights, linetypes, text styles, dimension styles, and custom blocks.
